An Accellerated COVID-19 Build

Quick and clear communication between medical care providers is crucial, but when it comes to emergency care during a pandemic, it can be a matter of life and death. Triad Healthcare Network reached out to Lithios in March 2020 with an urgent request for an application that could prioritize the multitude of COVID-19-related updates and resources emailed to healthcare providers.

The Challenge

Triad Healthcare asked Lithios to develop an application that could disseminate the most critical information for healthcare providers on the frontline. During the uncertain, early stages of the pandemic, clear communication was crucial. The Lithios team reprioritized existing projects and focused on the high-stakes, rapid build for THN.

Unique Features

The life cycle of a mobile application typically takes months to complete, but due to the urgent nature of this request, Lithios shifted priorities and completed the project for THN in a matter of weeks. By minimizing design and focusing on key functionality such as push notifications and pull-to-refresh, Lithios was able to quickly deliver a software tool to save THN healthcare providers the one resource they need most — time.

Why Lithios?

Through this accelerated engagement, we designed and developed iOS, Android, and Web applications to support healthcare efforts during the COVID-19 crisis. Triad Healthcare Network and Cone Health utilized these applications to disseminate pertinent information to its network of providers during the early phases of the pandemic.
